Welcoming
You’ll find a warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere. Our house ales at The East End Arms are from the Ringwood Brewery. Our wines have been carefully put together by The Solent Cellar, a specialist independent wine merchant serving Lymington and the New Forest.

I’d had the East End Arms on my wish list for ages, but it always lost out to places nearer home. We visited on a Saturday evening and had a delicious meal. Excellent service and a cosy informal atmosphere in the restaurant. Definitely worth the trip out and will return in the summer to have a proper explore of that part of the New Forest.

Went with my other half and found this amazing romantic getaway. The food was amazing. The flavours went together and tasted like heaven.

We’d gone astray following a walk in a book when we came across the East End Arms. Friendly and welcoming from the start, we were tempted by the platter advertised on the specials board although we had to return 2 days later when food was served. We were not disappointed. We shared two of the aforementioned platters between the 4 of us before trying other dishes on the menu. The choices available were excellent and much more than your average ‘pub grub’. Great flavours and every dish well cooked and well presented. The staff were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. The only question – why do more people not know about this place – or are the ‘locals’, who travel quite a distance to get there, trying to keep it to themselves? We’re definitely going to visit again.

This a pub where unsurpassed levels of service, outstanding food and the warmest of welcomes greets you. Menus seem to change throughout the year and every week has regularly changing specials which are always refreshing change from the usual pub fare and ultimately tasty with something for every palate. The food here is honest and well-crafted, putting flavour and experience above all else and enhancing the flavour and succulence of fantastic quality ingredients. We have eaten at many Michelin starred restaurants and gastropubs across the country and unlike many of these instead of foams and gels, you get plates of food served with the intention of filling you up and offering a flavour experience like no other. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and not just for the locals as some remote located establishments can be. Some members of the service staff such as Faith are a true example of what great customer service should be. With a superb balance of friendliness and professionalism and an obvious passion and interest in the food she is presenting, showing a pride in the dishes that a chef of this talent deserves at the front of house. If you are in the new forest and need somewhere to eat I honestly don’t think you can make a better choice.
